it looks like a cross between a fish and an eel. who knows whar kind of breeding goes on in the depths.. or her on land for that matter! nice find though :)

yeah itsan oarfish that one is just a small one but the adults grow to8m --->10m and have been caught as long as 15meters

The Japanese pass on tales of these washing up ashore before an earthquake. I guess that works both ways, since this one showed up after a floor, or tsunami. Cool fish, and yes, it's the basis of those dragons they use in street parties.
