Description:
Europe has launched the first parts of it very own sat nav system into space, with a little help from its friends. A Russian Soyuz rocket blasted off from a French space base in the tropics of South America, carrying the first EU made satellites. They'll be part of Galileo which hopes to end the monopoly of America's GPS. Daniel Bushell watched the launch in French Guiana.RT on Twitter: http://twitter.com/RT_com RT on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/RTnews
