Purge This Realm of Bitter Things’: Henry Scott Holland and the Rediscovery of Virtue. This year’s lecture will be given by The Rt Hon Frank Field MP *’Purge This Realm of Bitter Things’: Henry Scott Holland and the Rediscovery of Virtue* Frank Field worked at the Child Poverty Action Group for 10 years before becoming the Member of Parliament for Birkenhead in 1979. He was Chairman of the Social Security Select Committee in the run up to the 1997 election, Minister for Welfare Reform in the first part of Blair’s Government, and has tried to participate constructively in widening the welfare debate since. The latest report which he submitted to the Prime Minister was The Foundation Years: Preventing Poor Children Becoming Poor Adults in December 2010. Frank will present two lectures on 5th November: ‘Henry Scott Holland’s influence on radical politics and the Christian Socialist Tradition’ and ‘Poverty and Policy - A Century of Debate and Need; a personal perspective.’ There will be responses to each lecture and further time for roundhouse discussion. This is a ticketed event at which refreshments and lunch will be offered; please refer to the Scott Holland Trust website at: www.scotthollandtrust.org.uk for information.
This was my response to the problem. Churches are dominated by the hireling dog-collared people who have no idea of His Word but do the will of Mammon and call Christ Jesus as Jesus Christ and Lord and God putting Him into the kingdom where they themselves belong, the Kingdom of Satan full of strifes.
