Paso Robles, CA Rancher Discovers Unidentified Object, Searches for Answers - Nov. 2011

" A woman in Paso Robles recently made a unique discovery on her ranch and now is hoping to find out exactly what she found.

On October 20th, Karen Cudigan was riding her horse on her ranch when she came across a black object stuck in the ground.

She dug it out and found chunks of grass embedded in it.

Cudigan believes it fell from the sky, but doesn't know where it came from.

"It's a black rubber or plastic heavy plastic... But light weight... it's easy to handle... Funny item. It looks like it's sheared off the bottom, trimmed a little bit for some reason, but I don't know, that's why I am trying to find somebody who does know." Karen Cudigan told Your Central Coast News.

On Monday afternoon, Cudigan took the object to the Geology Department at Cal Poly.

Students and professors will look at it to see if they can determine what the object is."
