Fars News Agency reports the succesful development and test-launch of the Khalij-e Fârs (Persian Gulf) anti-ship ballistic missile (ASBM) by Iran's defence industry.

The Persian Gulf missile uses a highly mobile TEL launch platform, and is equipped with advanced guidance systems allowing for superior precision, while its trajectory as well as speed do not leave much room for interception by enemy warships.

The whole weapon system is of domestic design and production, making Iran the only country, along with China, to field this type of advanced and technologically innovating missile.

This achievement represents yet another great asset in the Islamic Republic's defensive deterrence capability against the imperialist occupation powers that are openly threatening its security and territorial integrity on a daily basis.

The major powers will never manage to prevent Tehran from progressing in all areas of science, society, ecomony or politics.
