1/16/2012 -- (in HD) Hawaii Pu'u O'o Volcano -- multiple views of August 2011 eruption

This was somehow accidentally "deleted" off my list ... Re-uploading now. Several AWESOME shots --- close up -- about 3/4 of the way through the video -- first person shots of the lava pools !!! You will first see the Pu'u O'o Volcano dome collapse, this collapse occurred because fissures opened around the volcano, allowing magma from inside the caldera to flow out the fissures (cracks) at the base of the mountain, leaving the dome 'hollow' .. which then collapsed on its own weight. (this all happened within minutes or less). The magma flowed for multiple days after this initial dome collapse event. Several geologists and volcanologists went very close to get fresh 2011 footage of this. Its truly amazing video to see. These are all from the USGS HVO .. Pu'u' O'o' volcano eruption on august 2011
