Eastern Block: Iran oil fuels Tiger's appetite


Israel has rebuffed all warnings against striking Iran, which have been consistently coming from the international community. The country's foreign minister says it's Israel's business alone over whether to carry out an attack. Tel Aviv suspects Iran's atomic activities have military purposes, repeatedly saying there's a need for a pre-emptive strike. But its Western allies haven't backed the idea, saying tough economic sanctions against Tehran need time to work. However there are growing doubts over the effectiveness of penalties.
