Why do we explore? Simply put, it is part of who we are, and it is something we have done throughout our history. In NASA's new video, "We Are the Explorers," we take a look at that tradition of reaching for things just beyond our grasp and how it is helping us lay the foundation for our greatest journeys ahead.

Does anyone care about space travel? Only NASA employees. What a waste of tax payer's money that could be better spent elsewhere.

You are not the explorers - you are the deceivers! You told the american public that each space shuttle would fly at least 100 missions each - and then stole billions of taxpayer money, blew up a couple shuttles killing 14 people, and only pulled off about 130 missions between a fleet of 5 and now you rely on russian technology to get to the ISS - which is NOT in space but just low earth orbit....and we are to believe that you played golf on the moon in 1969!
