Gun shop owners continue to experience a surge in business, and they cite a potential second term for president Obama as the driving force.
Cris Parsons, owner of Houston Armory tells Fox 26 that he has a huge backlog of orders and cannot get parts into stock fast enough to keep up with demand.
“Even the smallest parts are six to eight months back order. Even the little things, so it’s getting very difficult to get a whole gun assembled and sell a complete gun because of a lack of parts,†Parsons said.
Parson says his customers are telling him that it is a fear of Obama winning re-election that is spurring them to buy increased stocks of ammo and weapons.
“If he wins the election, he’s got nothing to lose, so a lot of people think he’s going to go after guns if he gets a second term,†Parsons said.
