Why is this in wide screen? I would assume that a home video cams data wouldn't be automatically displayed that way without some kind of altering/editing. And if that is the case most credit to its authenticity is tainted.

Huh. I have to wonder if this was a case where the occupants of the UFO detected they were under surveillance, and returned the gesture by scanning the videographer.
