'Queen Elizabeth doesn't want to be less than the US First Lady Michelle Obama. So, just like in the White House's garden, now also in Buckingam Palace's grounds organic vegetables will be cultivated. '
'For the first time since the Second World War ornamental plants and vegetables will grow side by side in London royal palace.'
Vegetables will be grown organically, with liquid seaweed used in place of chemical fertilizers and garlic keeping aphids down, a royal spokeswoman said.
The Queen's organic vegetable patch is about 10 yards by eight yards in size, located in Buckingham Palace's 40-acres garden. It is at the rear of the garden in an area which is called the Yard Bed.
Vegetable varieties in the garden include Royal Red and Blue Queen beans and three varieties of royal lettuce -- Golden Queen, Queen of Hearts and White Queen.
But always remember this, non organic is just as good and gmo ever better.
