Nice find Sav.
It seems there are always those who will "dispute" anything, regardless of the "seeming" correlation between what could be perceived as connecting points of occurrence.
I call it my own theory of "coincidence".
To me (and this is my own opinion here from observation over a very long time) there are no coincidences. There may be serendipitous events which do occur from time to time, but from a point of argument against coincidence while stating it is coincidence is pure fallacy.
Therefore, it seems there may in fact be more connection between several of these obscure details than we may wish to understand.
Was Sitchin right, or even partially? Only a mere argument at this point as there are no authorities who can without doubt prove he was not right.
Are the interpretations of the Mayan calendar right, or even partially? Only a mere argument at this point as there are no authorities who can without doubt prove they are not right.
So I guess the point here is that it has NOW become time for skeptics and debunkers of these "theories" to go further than just "saying" they are wrong.
In a court of law, you have to prove beyond a shadow of a doubt, the guilt.
I say its high time the naysayers PROVE beyond a shadow of a doubt the illegitimacy of that which they naysay.
I have been taking this stance for some time now and I think its long overdue for those who work and study within the alternative realm to understand a simple rule - even in the austere world of science - it is not up to the theorist to PROVE the theory, it is up to the rest of the community to DISPROVE it - this is how knowledge is helped to move forward.
Sorry Sav for the rant, 2 or 3 beers and see what you get? lol
cheers.
