Today Australian News website have published an article with headline "Tatooine's twin suns - coming to a planet near you just as soon as Betelgeuse explodes" according to it - Yes, any day now we see a second sun light up the sky, if only for a matter of weeks.

im trying to figure out that when it goes bang how will we see it as a second sun how will it appear sun like/ round if its gonna explode its gonna go everywhere fast

Betelgeuse is 600 light years away, so if we see it's light, it would have exploded 600 years ago. Which would not be witnessed for long as we would be wiped out by the gamma rays and shock waves.
I know the voices in my head aren't real, but man, sometimes they have some really good ideas.

Exactly. If it goes bang in 2012 none of us will ever be around to wickness the twin suns.

it probably exploded centuries ago. Remember we see the past when observing stars as they are so far away it takes many many years for light to arrive at earth. This won't be the first seen either. the most recent observed supernova was in 1604 and we see them every few centuries which throws any dna activation theory out the window.
