Hi Lin.
Nice work there, though I do have a few quick questions.
What is the +/- range of the dating methodology and the exact dating method used to place it at that time frame?
Is this +/- range consistent over multiple samples, or unique to this one?
What was the depth of the discovered object(s)?
Is there a comparison dating source of the surrounding sediment layer?
Just curious.......thx

waste of time and brain cells.
as long as there's one idiot around wlling to believe bullshit, there will be a bullshitter
I actually saw this post a while ago and refrained from commenting because of the obvious troll nature of the post. But today I see that this is front page DTV news.
Why is there troll news on DTV?
Nothing can falsify evolution. It has been proven. Evolution still happens regardless of any fossils that are found.
To creationists: God and Evolution can exist at the same time. Evolution does not try to explain how life started. The creationism theory and evolution do not conflict.
To scientists: Fossils found outside of any chain of evolution point to great implications, but do not destroy those existing chains.

The two choices we have are something starting from nothing, or something existing infinitely. These are both paradoxes. The existence of everything is therefore a paradox. -daemonfoe
Not sure if someone does it by hand or if an engine picks stories for the DTV front page, but this "story" appeared on iReport from CNN - where users post their own "news".
Maybe we should post our own news story there - "Users Debunk Troll Threads" ?
LoL

I'm actually not so concerned that the story appeared, but the title that was used is pretty bad.
Really... This seems like kind of a DTV exploit. Be the first to post a story in the forums here and your thread title will be used as front page news...
Might want to do something about that. It could take care of a lot of the full time bs posters here.
The interesting stories will still make it, and there's a good chance someone might use appropriate titles.

You did not read my article (http://wretchfossil.blogspot.com/2010/0 ... 0-mya.html). In the article there is this Note 5-1:
Note 5-1: Quote from Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resource: “Absolute isotopic ages of rocks exposed in Pennsylvania range from a little over one billion years to about 185 million years.” See its source at: http://www.dcnr.state.pa.us/polycomm/june/rock62797.htm
Concerning the age of 300 million years, it was determined by the strata of the Mahanoy-Shenandoah area. All geologists agreed on that age for that area.

"please do not feed the troll...."
Why are you afraid of sun light? Is this not Disclose.tv?

I have to ask... Why the misleading title? How is evolution falsified?
