During the months of September through December 1977, the Brazillian Air-Force under the command of a Captain Uyrangê Hollanda, was sent to the island of Colares to investigate a series of incidents in which over 80 people reported being attacked by beams of light from UFO's, paralyzing two of them and leaving puncture and burn marks on their skin. The investigation was codenamed "Operation Saucer". This operation collated over 15 hours of film, 500 photos, and hundreds of documents with detailed drawings and interviews with over 3000 witness'. The files were to remain classified by the Brazillian Government until 1997, when UFO investigator's A J Gevaerd and Marco Petite of UFO Magazine were allowed partial access. They were also contacted by the then retired Cpt Hollanda who gave them a vivid recollection of the whole series of events.

Hey whatsup from Savwafair,thanks for posting this, I'm surprised that it didn't get more attention because this event is the most major thing next to the US story.

To add onto the story, going back to August in 1977 the villagers were all sleeping together, and the men were on watch with their shotguns and took intervals. They shot at the UFOs sometimes, and the UFO zapped one man for shooting and he was laying in a hammock for 15 days. By the time the military got to Colares the whole town was deserted.

Reminds me of the same Ufo encounters by fishermen living in the Soloman Islands, who were burnt by laser firing saucers! Certainly gives it more validity when this info had been suppressed :headscratch:

Yeah it may be, Colonel Hollanda was not with the Air Force, but they called on him as he was a specialist and they set up with the military on the spot. Everybody had stories of literally being chased by UFOs and the scars to prove it. The people named the UFOs "suckers suckers" because they realized what was happening through the laser beam. Back to Colonel Hollanda ,the thing that many of us don't realize is that this man was murdered 2 months after his interview I posted below in a similar way like Phil Schneider was, I also read a report that is that his family was kidnapped shortly after. The only place you can actually see Colonel Hollanda is on Disclosetv.
