I have to agree with you about it being the responsibility of the people...we did, as a nation, get lazy...so I can't argue that point...

What I can say is the tone...you use...as well as others...that seem "excited" or "over-joyed" that this could happen...in the way it is happening.

Yes, we needed to wake up...and you know I won't look past the concept that maybe we needed a bit slapping around to wake us up enough to "make changes" in our own "House" and the way we go about electing government officials.

I guess what I am seeing is people getting excited in the concept of "America" failing...I have seen this before with younger generation high school students and college students that look at the "police" as "pigs" or "the man"...of course when something bad happens and they need police...they are all "thank you" and happy they have protection...but when it is inconvenient...well...they are "the man" or "pigs"...when in reality they are just people trying to protect and serve mankind in general...do something "good". Politics and corruption...yeah that is everywhere...America, Mexico, South America, Africa, Russia, China, Japan, Europe...basically...history shows that corruption has always been around.

What worries me is that people who "condone" this concept might not be looking at the full picture. America has done some pretty dumb things...but then again so has the rest of the world...it just so happens that America has been "the big boy" on the block and it is so easy to just point fingers at the largest target and say "It is their fault". We blame our Presidents for everything...and I mean EVERYTHING...as if one man can put his hand on a bible...say some words...and then become "SUPERMAN"...and solve all problems...immediately.

Doesn't happen that way...change takes time...and with special interest groups that are influenced by money from all corners of the earth...it takes even longer. One of the prices to pay for "Freedom" in a world with many people "Hostile" to the very thought...

So, you are right about Americans becoming "lazy" in many ways (if I am understanding your point of view), however I am not sure if you have been following the Tea Party or the massive amounts of people in America who are/have become "awoken" from their slumber and come to the realization that you can't just put the "Car" on cruise control and climb into the back seat to take a nap.

The scary part is when I hear people get "excited" or make comments that are like "yeah...serves them right!"... because no matter how you look at it...this World without America (as the world is today...not as if America never existed...that is a different subject) would be a world with more "Socialist" oriented governments that are more like "Dictatorships" than anything else... as well... you need to look at people like Bill Gates and Warren Buffet who have put billions of dollars of their earned cash into a non-profit to help people around the world. Yeah...it is a form of tax shelter...but then again...have you seen someone of equal "financial status" in another country do something like this? I would make the point about the "remaining countries" if America did fall into a "great depression"...who would help people when they needed it? Red Cross didn't just spring up from the ocean...it was formed in America to help people around the world...Americans, in general, help more people (financially speaking) than any other country in the World...and that is fact.

So...you can reset a government in many ways...one way is to completely collapse the country...but then that renders this country and any other country that depends upon that country "SOL"....

Look at food production in the world... you will see that America PRODUCES (on average) the most food/plant related products...in the WORLD...

Let's think about this...just as one human to another...set aside differences of opinions...all that garbage...and just logically THINK about it:

If America falls...who will feed the world? I am pretty sure looking at the numbers that America produces the most "commodity"/"plant"/food based products...America gives the most Foreign Aide... America has the most non-profit organizations that help other countries...America has always been the first to respond to help in disaster recovery...

We, as a country, have made our "actions" speak much louder than our sheople words...the numbers don't lie. We have made the most effort to help other nations when they need it.

While we are not #1 in innovation, South Korea is, we are where right now? Helping Who? Oh yeah...South Korea...and we are #2 in Innovation right next to...oh hey..Japan... all Allies of America and all based on the American "economic model" as well as they all have countries that are based on human rights and freedom.

So... you take all of that away...from the world...you take the food...the money...the help/aide...the innovation...

What do you have left?

It worries me that people think we have done more harm than good...because it honestly JUST IS NOT SO... and this is "relatively" speaking based on what OTHER COUNTRIES have been doing.

So while we might have "sheople" in our country...they have big hearts...share...care about the world...and inspire innovation around the world...when you look at the countries that would be "left standing" and "holding the cards"... uh... well... go look at the numbers yourself and see "how active" they have been...and what their "actions" have spoken in the past 100 years... what we have done to help people in the world (and when I say "we" I mean all countries who work with America to help inspire the philosophy of helping, aiding, protecting, innovating, and basically all of the things that make all of our lives the way they are today)... and what the other countries who stand to "gain everything from our loss" have done...

Well...it just makes me frustrated and sad that people don't see this...because one day...we might not be around...and when that happens...innovation goes to hell, people starve, economies collapse, and I wonder... how anyone...could want this to happen "just to expose corruption".

Again...something definitely needed to happen...maybe this is just a way to "scare" the world into getting things back into shape...I hope so...but it has been looking more and more like there is a group of people who want to see America fall and want the world to fall into Chaos...because...when you are starving at home...with no power...your kids are sick and there is no medicine in the stores... you will welcome ANYONE who comes to "save the day"...as long as you can eat, have some heat, and get your family better (medicine)...but the big question...at what price?

We are not perfect...but what government, historically speaking, ever was "perfect"?

Seriously...we are running out of time and we need people to understand that the "core infrastructure" of America (We the People) is back into action and we WILL clean House...and we WILL get rid of the idiots who have done some stupid...stupid things...but...up until now...we have been the biggest "giver" to the rest of the world in so many ways...I just can't understand how people can't see this...and are not jumping up and down in all countries trying to support Americans and our effort to restore America back to a "less corrupt" government...for the sake of everyone on this planet...

Just look at the numbers...do your own research...look at what America has done that is positive...and compare it to say...China...the next runner up for "World Alpha Dog" status...and ask yourself...do you want America and the "Freedom" it stands for or do you want some Quasi-Socialistic New World Order?

Americans (not the sheople...those people we see in "Black Friday" sales...they are the ones fighting to "get things"...we need to have a change in that...but the majority of Americans...you know...the ones that actually work...and don't have time to sit out in front of a store from 1am in the morning to get a flat screen TV...because we work...)Americans are waking up and are doing what we can as fast as we can amidst the rest of this Chaos...we have given the world Electricity, Transistor Technologies, Cars, Radios, Refrigeration, Medicine, Food, and the list goes on and on)...we just need 1 Presidential term...we have cleaned out half of the mess in Washington and will clean out the rest in two years...until then...give us a break will you? We have busted our butts off helping the world...don't you think the world can give us 2 more years to fix the rest of this?

All empires fail. Britain dismantled her empire but we're still here - may not have been the top dog for the last 60/70 years but not doing too badly, all things considered. America will be the same - it'll carry on in diminished circumstances, perhaps, but I don't think it'll be going anywhere and will still have influence. As for the idea that America collapsing won't harm or effect other countries (can't remember who voiced those sentiments), of course it will - no country is an island (ho ho) anymore and everything effects everyone these days.

Wow, glad I missed this thread. Who fucking cares who donates the most money? Should not the richest nations give more? I don't know. You can post all the links and crap you want to swing the argument one way or another. There are links and papers that show if you took out foreign 'military aid' then the US is not the biggest money giver at all per head. Anyhow, who cares.

America and all countries will find a way to carry on, are we not a resilient bunch of assholes?

I understand your patriotism and that is admirable, however you are blind to the real situation...and TEA PARTY what???truly i am having doubts with this org. Yeah you are right America is producing huge amounts of food....foods with MSG, with HFCS GMO foods and many other poisonous foods to dumb it's own citizens and the whole world...america produces vaccines too,, gives them for free to the third world laced with HIV(african vaccines) and contains mercury.Just do a simple googling and you will be shocked!
