Biggest change I noticed was I never dreamed when I was high. Now I have some FUCKED UP dreams almost every night.

Anybody else experience that?

Yeah same for me. I was a heavy smoker (5g-1oz a week) for 10 years or so. I felt it helped me a lot. I have a seriously over active mind and I felt it help curb that. I was more relaxed (mentally) and could think more clear about things without thinking the worst of everything. I preferred it over drinking. I could still have a good time and be socialble, and not wake up with a stinking hangover and the paranoia and anxiety for the next 3 days wondering what I had actually done and not remembered when I was drunk. I have quit for the last 9 months or so now and the dreams are terrible. I constantly wake up in a panic. I had forgotten what it was like to dream, and now I wake up exhausted every morning. I quit for myself and my GF, and she thinks it's a good thing, although she says I am more relaxed and don't get so stress if I am stoned. What's a man to do?

I should add that I miss it terribly. It makes me sick to see people get drunk and act like total fools, but look down their nose at people that smoke weed.

I quit 10 years ago when my wife got pregnant. Best thing I ever did. I dream, I socialize, Im not paranoid. I can actually function like a normal human and get things done (never mess with major tom).

It was not a good drug for me.

But beer however...... :D

But I have mates that it didn't have any of the effects it had on me, so each to there own.
Love your Life... That's pretty much it.

No question weed makes people stupid, tired, lazy, hungry and batshit paranoid.

It totally obliterates social, emotional and mental maturation.

This forum is a prime example of what weed does to people.

The potheads don't see or understand this, because they are too stoned, and even when they are not stoned, the weed has made them too stupid and self serving.

Everyone else sees it clearly.

No matter how smart the stoner thinks they they are, to everyone else, they look like Beavis and Butthead.

In the case of medical marijuana users, it's okay, you have an excuse, unless the excuse you use is just made up to get high.

And what about hash? The big time inhibitor of the will.

Btw, I have friends that never smoked one joint and are experiencing short time memory loss. I gues it comes with he age bc all of them are over 35 and are under lots of stress at work.
Sympathy for the débil.

I have to disagree. I have been a heavy smoker for the majority of my adult life, and it has not inhibited me in any way, nor has it affected my motivation. I have excelled in my profession far quicker than anyone I know in the same industry and only continue to excel. I am at the top of my game, and I am a more hard worker than most people I work with that have never smoked. I think it is used as an excuse for people to be lazy. I am more productive when stoned because I have a clearer mind and know exactly what I am doing and where I am going, rather than being cluttered with a bunch of unnecessary thoughts. I take more care and pride with my work whether professionally or just day to day chores.

I think the people it affects in a negative way would be like that regardless. I for one do not appreciate being put in a box.

well I smoke it as a replacement for percocets(my back) which is a good thing...I worked for 14 years as an addictions counselor/withdrawl management at the local rehab and detox, we wouldnt even accept anyone into the detox because there is only marginal withdrawl. i am all for people quiting what they feel is overwhelming to their lives but often they become like the selfrightous ex-cig smokers and some ex drinkers...i worked with a few recovering alcoholics that felt everyone was in denial if they drank alcohol? this is what i think this counselor is...someone who felt controlled by it therefore everyone is like that...that is absurd. 99 percent of the pot smokers i know are equally productive and some of the most visionary people i have met. mr.counselor pants should have done a video on prescription drug abuse...i would have more respect for that...simply put...there is no such title as a pot expert as he so claims...really??? every journal i have read on the subject puts pot below coffee for addiction and level of withdrawl effects...so maybe we should replace our coffee with...???? cuz i think you coffee heads are a dependant bunch, that lack the will power to switch beverages...and you will stay up the first night...haha
