I believe Otoel is inferring that the egyptians calculated the speed of light with their "primitive" knowledge, and that all sorts of other amazing knowledge is hidden from us, even though we believe we are "modern", and that we are missing out on some essential part of "life".

Basically, when you start thinking in Qualities, which numbers are representatives of, instead of just of them as quantities, that is, the number 6 possesses the quality of SIX-ness, and the number 2 of two-ness and the number 1 of one-ness, instead of the number 6 merely being 1+1+1+1+1+1, a new world begins to open up.
for instance, the pentagram, of which the eternal movement is a spiral, is 5, and corresponds to all sorts of things which are also 5, you know the game rock paper scissors? think of the pentagram as a geometrically aligned shape through which energy flows to create things, of a certain type.

2+2=13; 1+3=4, 4=Earth, Earth=Heart... Endless metaphors, endless shifting mirrors reflecting the endless one back at itself, for all reasons, and none.
So what am i saying?
Am I saying dürer could already see far more than we as a collective imagine we can, well, maybe, given that the stuff the universe itself is made of is eternal, who in their "right" mind can even say what is and is not possible? it's all in the i magi nation is it not?
The big joke is... "it's" been there all the time, our consciousness just had to grow & be eased into it.
nevertheless, before i get to airy fairy, and the left mind leaves us, there is still a gap to be bridged, between what the right mind envisions and the left mind allows. whole brain thinking makes possible more than both can imagine on their own, and, when the art-i-fish-all divi-sions between us dissolve we will not cease to marvel until we choose to, and in fact, it was always our choice... we are the script writer of our own story.
What kind of world can we fathom? That is the one we are moving into.
