idiot, did you really just type that in a thread made by a person whose friend has one of the deadliest types of cancer?

Shame on you.

....the road to hell....

dont worry umbrex, what bravo said is more or less how I deal with general sickness. i watch people around me get a flu or cold and have it for days at a time, whereas I basically tell myself to fight that shit right away; body, mind, 'soul' type crap, and i generally am not sick for more than half a day. just gotta know your body and you'd be amazed what you can accomplish within yourself :) so bravo, no offence taken. cheers

and dom, totally agreed, which is why i am not asking for advice, but links and articles.

edit: dom, i realize that in my earlier post i did state that i am asking you guys for advice, but when it really comes down to it, its more of a point in the right direction. and stoked your mom beat cancer!

Humanbeing wrote:thanks guys, keep it coming. fortunately her cancer is in the very early stages. its colon cancer, so that last post is amazing!
she came across this today: http://www.disclose.tv/action/viewvideo/103929/Cancer_is_finally_cured_in_Canada_but_Big_Pharma_has_no_interest/
and was blown away. i commented on her facebook page with the "chemo makes cancer worse" article and thats when she messaged me back stating that she has cancer, she hasnt even told her mom. she asked me for advice because she says that I seem to be aware of many things in this world and have a "think outside the box" mindset.
thus began my mission to gather as much info for her as I can.
I told her that I would ask my friends here on DTV for advice and info, and she is very grateful, as am I. thanks!

oh yeah, running us supposedly really good for colon cancer also.

this woman had a very bad prognosis. less than a year. through running, even while she was doing chemo, she extended her life by 4 years

sadly, chemo is the best thing weve got vs. cancer (hardcore, metastatic) atm =(

sure wish they would unleash all of those hidden technologies.

i would tell your friend: go get chemo AND fill her with all the suplements u can throw at her

Proton Therapy

The use of proton therapy to treat cancerous tumors is a major technological advance of our time. After decades of development, its success is rapidly driving proton therapy out of research facilities and into regional treatment centers around the world.

Proton therapy uses beams of positively charged nuclear particles, rather than conventional photon beams. The energy of proton beams can be precisely targeted to deliver highly focused doses in the tumor, potentially sparing healthy surrounding tissue with possibly fewer side effects.

expensive but worth the money.

Hey sorry to hear about your friend. Tell her to research and try Chaga Mushroom tea. There are alot of
testimonials concerning its cancer fighting abilities. You can also purchase it on the internet.

(NaturalNews) A little known mushroom is establishing a solid reputation in medical circles as a powerful defense against cancer. Although relatively unheard of in mainstream media, the chaga mushroom has been used in folk medicine for generations. Research has shown chaga to be extremely effective in protecting cellular DNA from damaging free radicals. It also has anti-tumor and immune stimulating benefits.

Chaga mushroom (Inonotus obliquus) is a fungus that grows on birch and other hardwood trees. The variety that is found on birch is believed to be the most potent because of its high concentration of betulinic acid which is toxic to cancer cells. Chaga is unusual in the mushroom world as it resembles porous wood and is black and hard - similar to lumpy charcoal. Natives of China, Siberia, Finland, Japan, Poland, and North America have all recognized chaga's importance for centuries. Russian author and Nobel laureate Alexandr Solzhenitsyn is given credit for introducing chaga to the West where the principal character in his novel Cancer Ward is cured of his illness by the mushroom.

Healing properties
Several studies support chaga's medicinal value. Researchers at Kyunghee University in Seoul, South Korea examined chaga's effectiveness in protecting cellular DNA. Cells were treated with chaga mushroom extract then exposed to oxidative stress. The extract-treated cells had 40 percent less DNA mutation compared with the untreated cells. In another study, Japanese researchers discovered that chaga had higher levels of cell protective antioxidants than other medicinal mushrooms included in the investigation. Chaga has been shown to be effective against cancers of the liver, uterus, breast, colon, skin, cervix and lung. It also attacks tumor cells without disturbing healthy tissue. Additionally, this mushroom has been found to be antiviral and anti-inflammatory.

Chaga mushroom is nutrient rich. Sterols, flavonoids, polysaccharides, polyphenols, vitamins and minerals are just a few of the constituents found in chaga. Immune function is enhanced by the beta glucans present in the mushroom which activate T-cell activity and the production of antibodies.

Methods of consumption
Chaga can be taken as a tea, applied to the skin, consumed as a powder or inhaled as smoke. For a traditional tea, dissolve one teaspoon of the dehydrated mushroom in one cup of water. Recommended dosage for alcohol extract (1:5 tincture): 40-60 drops, two to three times a day.

Take Care and good health

i'm asking all of you if you might be able to post any articles and links to this thread so i can gather as much info as possible for her. the last thing any one wants is a friend to go through chemo and deal with big pharma cancer drugs. we all know how bad that shit is.
thanks everyone, Cheers

That's my advice... don't ditch the docs, but there are a lot of things you can do on the side to either complement radiation/chemo, or else to help the body heal from the radiation/chemo. The one thing that is the most overlooked though, is diet. PLEASE do some research on diet during cancer treatments... what she eats during this critical time really can affect how her body reacts to the treatments.
