No need for an apology,i didnt take offence, wouldve just liked a little warning, i think its just things like x-factor, britains got talent and big brother, are the things i find most irritating about modern culture,
Kill em all and let god sort them out!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I don't watch the show regularly, I just saw a news segment this morning that mentioned it positively, so I looked at it.

The whole Susan Boyle thing first brought me to these shows- so this is only the second, well, now third (Paul Potts,) that I have paid any attention to. I do see, very clearly, how they produce the shows in a very manipulative manner. Full of hype, and really sort of taking advantage of the "really talented," and unfortunately, even the very untalented. So I understand your point. Personaly, though, I sort of look past that when it comes to good performers. I like a feel good story- It helps digest all the B.S. that's going on in the world. It makes me feel good to see an underdog rise above a lot of difficulties, and succeed with credit given. Does that seem sick or weird, hope not. I guess it's sort of a legal, if a little lame, form of escapism. I'm a softy- can't help it.

Ahem, hem.. Don't get me wrong though, I can get rough when necessary.lol I'm sure some can attest to that.

Cheers.

sometimes we just need some musical relief, naturally the Beatles did it most popularly but lets not close the door on Joe!
