I think that might have something to do with the fact Lennon & McCartney are credited with writing that particular ditty.

But by far Joe's cover is the best version

Well that's cool, I expected no feedback cause of die hard beatles fans, but with this crowd I should have known better.

Cocker has some good stuff that is often overlooked, kind of like Dr. Hook!

I like the Beatle's version and Joe Cocker's. It's kind'a difficult to compare them- such different styles but both great. I too, would probably put Joe's version at the top of the heap. Nobody does that song like Joe. Like Nobody can do "Crazy" like Patsy Klein, or "Cheatin Heart" by Hank Williams, or "Chicago, My kind of Town" by Ole' Blue eyes, or "Purple Haze" by Hendrix, or "Light My Fire" or "Riders on the Storm" by the Doors, or "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner, or "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zep, "Muddy Waters" by Muddy Waters, etc., etc...

This guy on X-F was pretty good, though. After seasoning- He might be a good one too.
