if u ask me, i once saw a doco of this same place and it was totally covered in trees, i cant remember wtf it was about but some gov project in the area..anyway the map looks like alot of land development and houses taken it all over. This may be the reason? also as freeyourmindnow stated the plates are shifting and whos to say even if its not directly on a plate im gona say small caves that would lead to it will sink anything lol
