Ehhh... the people are going down with it. Take a look at some of the comments on this article. The sheer apathy, ignorance, and stupidity is astounding. So many people don't give a rat's butt about this issue, and this is the fundamental touchstone of democracy. Here we have a republic that became great because all citizens were under the law, no one is above it... and so many Americans think it is a waste of time to investigate whether or not the leader of our country (which affects the entire world) is even legally qualified to hold office!

In my opinion.....(don't shot me!)....I think one of the biggest problems with America to day is....the past 40/50 years. Over the past 40/50 America has grown at an astounding rate. Our government has their hands in every country, bases in just about every land, and influence that cannot be accurately measured on such a diverse global scale.

We have grown too fast for our own good. America has all this "stuff"...much of this "stuff", other countries don't want or need. America has dwindled from being a symbol of freedom to a symbol excesses.

Now...we have enemies on nearly all fronts, 2 wars, an economy in decline, a divided government and segregated citizens. No one man can fix it all. It has to be a group effort, starting at the bottom and changing things as it moves to the top.

The sharks smell the blood in the water....they are just waiting for the right moment to move in for the kill.

Hopefully in 20 years, I'll be joking around with my grown son saying..."Ya know kid, back when i was your age, people thought we were all done for. America was spewing their shit all over the world and everyone thought our days were numbered , but all that hype and fear turned around, America got her head out of her ass and we all lived happily ever after"

That is why democracy is great, but at the same time do you think that democracy is alive and well? I don't, there exists many citizens that are above the law, that are not held responsible for their illegal undertakings, that are elected into office to represent their people, but don't. We are seeing an unprecedented attack on the constitutional rights the public. I don't know what form of political government we are living under, but if it is supposed to be democratic, then it is a lie.
