Well, then i guess you can color me SUPER confused as to how the comparison/contrast between the behaviors of the two separate groups support the retarded assertion that somehow religion is responsible for ruining anything, when its clearly demonstrated, even in this video, that the anger, hatred and malice of the Everyman is what has done it.

I didnt see it as being particularly ridiculous, other than really highlighting the ONLY case that the Atheists ever make..which is "fuck you". Demobe used the video (and his own words) to try to show somehow religion is bad.

this infers that what we are about to see somehow shows religion ruining things when in fact it shows the absolute opposite.

And i didnt get what caused you to put up the "my eyes" smiley i guess...

i dont like religion. it was important at one time in history. but thats it. we dont need it any more. we got to grow up from religion +++++++ and many other problems that we have here.

You DO realize that that video was speaking out FOR religion and not against it right?

Are you so caught up in your own hatred of what others believe that you are blinded to the communication laid out in front of you? Yes, becuase you missed the entire message of that video, and came here trumpeting that cry for the death of religion, when in fact what that video is saying is that mankind is ill equipped to lead on any matter.

So lets take a run through on that vid, and see what its saying:

I simply cannot believe you didnt understand the video (much less think it makes or supports your case)..That is tragical-comical irony at its best.

First we see:

Celebration of diverse cultures.
Muslims AND Christians protesting war
a child comforted at a grave
the homeless being fed
the poor being cared for,
Ghandis message of hope...

And then the video states...These are the hidden BENEFITS of religion.
No doubt you understand the glossary defenition of Benefit, yes?

THEN..the video states that this group of the Four Horsemen are here to eradicate THOSE benefits....you got that right? (I think you got it backwards)

Then we see all those examples of really intellectual, angry, hateful, spiteful declarations of nothing more than "FUCK YOU"...literally.

An angry black man, screaming "fuck you God",
Five or six webcam jockeys saying "Fuck you",
A couple of cute girls saying "Fuck you" to me, and those like me with faith,
Then a batch of people openly declaring their hatred for the Holy Spirit.
Declaring the stupidity of the believers with
the common denominator being...

Anger. And Malice. And Rage.

People less focused on their own beliefs and or solutions to humanities problems,
and more focused on their anger toward these people who do hold these ideals dear...
Ideals like love, compassion, acceptance, service to humanity...

These are the peole we are being asked to hold up as some moral or ethical ideal?
People whose most clearly articulated message is "Fuck You?"

really?

Is that supposed to be somehow persuasive that belief is a fault, when clearly your video shows that the entire list of behaviors coming from those that do believe are actually benefits to humanity?

The summary is that:

Are all bad things, wrought by religion,

But yet

FUCK YOU....is somehow better than love?
And yes, FUCK YOU was the only humanist message that video had to offer..
Fuck you, is a solution? Its a positive thing? It provides peace or comfort?
All that anger, that is enlightenment? Anger at what exactly?

All of this?

The problem that I have with the video is that it is showing a world which is black and white. Religion = Good. Atheism/ Mankind on it's own = Bad.
There are not only good and bad people in this world, but there is also good and bad in every individual. How I have already pointed out..I believe that our compassion, love and spirituality comes from within. We don't need dogma. I don't belong to any religion yet I don't run around killing people. Love/ compassion/ respect for living things is just human. When you feel the need to terrorize people, you will do it and use whatever you find to justify it. Whether it is religion or atheism. Sure it is not right of atheists to be disrespectful, but religious people shouldn't lose their respect either.
We should find a balance. I think spirituality and science are not opposites, even if the point where both meet needs to be found yet(officially...I have found it already ).

(as in from you to me) and i may just not understand your position
in regards to the video....

But i do take the avalanche of Atheistic FU personally
which comes ANY time religion is discussed.
And NOT just because someone doesnt believe...(i dont care too much there)
but because that disbelief always comes with a caveat.
One that is intended and taken as a direct insult....and assault on me and others like me...for no clearly articulated reason...OTHER than for the sake of being able to make the insult itself..

So i was really just responding 'globally'
to the atheist brushoff and insults...in general.

So, maybe i dont get your point with this particular vid.
Because its a rather accurate assessment in the difference
between the two mentalities...
