Print ShareThisSAN LUIS, Colo. — A creepy string of calf mutilations in southern Colorado has a rancher and sheriff's officials mystified.

Four calves were found dead in a pasture just north of the New Mexico state line in recent weeks. The dead calves had their skins peeled back and organs cleared from the rib cage. One calf had its tongue removed.

But rancher Manuel Sanchez has found no signs of human attackers, such as footprints or ATV tracks. And there are no signs of an animal attack by a coyote or mountain lion. Usually predators leave pools of blood or drag marks from carrying away the livestock.

Two officers from the Costilla County Sheriff's Office have investigated the mutilations but say they don't know what's killing the calves.

"There's nothing really to go by," said Sanchez, who's ranched for nearly 50 years. "I can't figure it out."

A spokesman for the sheriff's office told The Pueblo Chieftain that investigators doubt a person butchered the calves because there is no blood at the scene.

"I've butchered a cow before and I know what kind of a mess it leaves," Sgt. James Chavez said.

Some in the area believe the mutilations are the work of aliens. An area UFO chaser, Chuck Zukowski of Colorado Springs, has been to the Costilla County pasture to investigate.

He told the paper there have been other unexplained calf mutilations in the area, including three in March. One of the other calves, found dead on a ranch near Trinidad, had its ears removed, Zukowski said.

"We're trying as much as we can to find a pattern," said Zukowski, who runs a UFO Web site called ufonut.com.

Sanchez said he has sold off his 32 remaining calves out of fear more would be mutilated. He hasn't decided how he'll manage the remaining 40 animals in his herd.

"It's a big loss for a small rancher," he said. => It looks like thoses ET, blood sucking vampires are at it again?

This is not actually true, the aliens/ufo idea is just a cover story to keep people away from the truth,the real story about cattle mutilations has nothing to do with aliens, it is a secret project conducted by our military for scientific studies, Since they have been detonating atomic weapons they have conducted this project , by studying grass and soil samples then the cattle themself they can determine a basic idea how much radiation people get from eating the cattle and vegtables that grow in the soil. that is why you see the tounge and the rectums taken from the cows, they can determine how many rads the cow actually absorbed! They would rather you not know this so it is easier to let the alien stories spread around lol.Most real scientist and military understand this but they have moved nuclear detonations testing underground so they try to avoid the subject as much as possible...

Well, youre close, but what ive heard from ranchers in new mexico (of which my step father is one) ...The reason that 99% of all of the cattle mutilations have happened in northern new mexico and colo, is that they are tracking the spread of CWD Prions. (Chronic wasting disease). He has lost two cows since 1970 in this manner, and is positive that they are not predator sites.

They concentrate in soft and smooth muscle tissue, and in the eyes, and reproductive organs such as testes and ovaries.

These prions are being found in NM and COLO Deer and Elk, and currently there are admonitions for all hunted animals to be tested during the Butchering process. Butchers in these areas are allowed to send tagged samples for free to the CDC in Colorado Springs.

While there have been no documented cases of spread from deer and elk to humans, this prion disease is VERy similar (almost exact in fact) to Mad Cow..and they have been tracking its spread from Montana south for almost thirty years. If it reaches the commercial food supply it will destroy the cattle industry overnight.

This is what the ranchers in these two states have been told "unofficially". And the reasons that it has been leaked to them, is that they are looking for the leap vector into the food supply.

One of the interesting facts about Prions is that they can survive a heat sterilization process and are nearly indestructible..and are found in the soils of these two states as well as many mid and northwestern deer populations.

The thing is that this theory is completely nonsense...I think that the army is involved in some cases but not in every cattle mutilation.
This shit happens all over the world and not only in remote nuke test areas in the US, There are cases in the UK, France, Spain, Italy...Holland... not only cows are mutilated but also sheeps, dogs, cats, deers, fox, and even hedgehogs...
Sometimes many animals are killed and only some of them are mutilated...

How do you explain the mutilated wild animals? the fact that this happens all around the world?
