All mapped out: Virtually every road in the UK will appear on Google's Street View from tomorrow :peep:

The most comprehensive 360 degree map ever made of Britain will go online tomorrow, thanks to a mammoth undertaking by Google.

Their Street View tool is being extended from a few select cities to almost every street in the UK - which amounts to 238,000 miles of public road.

The street-level imagery will cover all areas both urban and rural from Penzance in Cornwall to the north of Shetland.

The current Street View coverage - highlighted in blue - is very patchy. This is set to change dramatically tomorrow, with few roads escaping the Google camera

Britain will join Spain, France, Italy and the U.S, which already have nationwide coverage.

Call me a barbarian, but there's one thing i'm certain of...if i ever see some moron on a tricycle filming me without permission on the street, i'm going to smash both his camera and his head.
