I don't think that this Mufon sighting needs much of an explanation at all. This pic really made me fall off my seat when I saw it. I will just present it in its own form. A picture is worth a thousand words.

Long Description of Sighting Report

Judy was driving in to her job as a Home Health Aide and saw what she thought was a hole in the storm clouds, she had her cell phone with her and took a picture of the hole in the clouds. When she got to her job, she told Tim Pxxx that she had seen a strange hole in the storm clouds on the way into work. He downloaded the picture on to his PC and saw the patterns of lights on the object, the trailing disturbance in the clouds and called me up on the phone. He sent the picture to me for my opinion.

To me, I can see the rain drops on the windshield and the image on the other side of the drops, there is no reflection in the glass.

I'd like to point out something that may be relevant.
In the crop circle thread, I pointed out that there's an image,
right within the central circle.

Can't help but wonder....especially with all the LED accessories available....

Just a perspective.

oh, and I am fully aware that this looks different than the ufo in the shot, this is just an image I found on the web to illustrate a possibility, especially since nowadays with all the extreme mods going on.

Easily could be a reflection on the window. With rain, clouds, glass, and reflection, refraction, diffusion...so many things going on.

That is something to consider.. I did ponder the reflection part as well. I just am stuck on the way it looks like it is submerged into the cloud cover.. Great pic one way or the other.. I love a great mystery..

That picture is crazy... It kind of reminded me of the one by the discovery shuttle for some reason.

The size of some of these things is just ridiculous, so many lights on em...

Dangit, I was just about to think "aaaaaa crap, space junk from the ejection" then, those other ones started just appearing and going in contradictory directions. Grrr, why is it still that Nasa based footage is the best recollection of any possible evidence?

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't one of the original reasons NASA was founded was to search for Extra-Terrestrial Life? Grrrr I say....Grrrr

Back to the OP, I keep looking at it and I do see refraction of the object in the glass. See how it seems that the bright rings of concentric lights are on one face of the pane of glass and the interior panes' refractive surface is showing a slightly dimmer and shifted reflection back. This could have been more noticeable suddenly to her as now she had a dark backdrop with which the glass can now be a more effective mirror....

also take into account that she took it with a cell phone through the glass which tends to enhance this effect and make it difficult to get a shot of what's actually outside the car window.

My theory, she either has a new mod in her cup holder and wasn't aware of it's reflection until this partuclar dark day? She see's it scanning along the dark band of "mirrored reflection" and snaps a shot.
