I am sure there is a perfectly reasonable eplanation for it, but I sure dont see it.

India, Italy, US, Brazil, Middle east.....

And in the time span of 12k years. Right after the last Ice Age.
And we are on a brink of another one right now. The cycle is about to repeat.

Hey, its one theory.

There you go. :flop:

But just because to us it looks like a labyrinth it does not make it so. The fact remains that we are clueless.

It's the ancient's trying to describe 'Time' - not the 'Linear' version we human's believe in, but real time.

They knew better than we.

Good post! :flop:

It does not matter what each of us sees and interprets.
The fact is that it is an ancient symbol, repeated through time and across continents by cultures that didnt know of each other.

What it means is anyones guess.

My view on this is that the cross is connected to four points. Just like your brain, with the four chambers.
your brain can also been seen as a labyrinth. Imho, every story or myth, bible, koran, hindu, buddha, are all telling what u can do to " eat of the fruit of knowledge ", the pineal gland. In history we know that the church was the ruling factor in the world. Not always, but a long time. Before that time it was knowledge and not religion. They made stories of it in symbolism or fairy tales, myths and folk lore. Old scriptures like the bible and koran etc... tell these stories. If you read the scriptures than u come to the conclusion that religion does the opposite of the teachings. That does not mean the scripture is wrong but the churches. It's to gain power and control.

Everything they do is to attack the brain. You can see that with mercury, flouride, milk? (yes, milk), brainwashing by reppetition like tv, education (indoctrination). Now why is that.

The real knowledge is kept by the so called elites, like the absolute top of freemasonry.
33 degree. Did you know u have 33 spinal cullums.

Did you know that females are oppressed by religion because the right side of your brain is called the female side, and we live in a left brain or male dominance, like logic thinking but not knowing. Close minded and not open for creativity.

Just my point of view.

labyrinth - Although sometimes used as a synonym for "maze," a labyrinth is classically a single (unicursal) pathway that leads physically to the center of a linear pattern and then back out by simply reversing direction on the same path. In a maze there are invariably riddles to be solved — dead-ends abound. Labyrinths have been known to the human race for over 3,500 years, conjuring up such images as the ancient Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur, confined in a labyrinthine hallway at Knossos. Labyrinths have been thought to hold spiritual meanings in various cultures. They have been used as solar and lunar calendars in others. In Arizona, in the American Southwest, the Hopi use the form of a labyrinth in their religious symbolism, and the Tohono O'odham "Man in the Maze" is a "seven-circuit" labyrinth, a part of this native people's creation myth. Metaphorically, "labyrinth" or "labyrinthine" might signify a thing that is highly intricate or convoluted in character, composition, or construction.

Some people regard Labyrinths as a symbol for Mother Earth.a tool to open the connection between the brain hemispheres, like a meditation instrument, used to gain insight and strength, the way in and out of heaven or hell, a way into your unknown subconscious, it can satisfy desires and give a sense of strengthening and fulfillment, a seven circuit Labyrinth is believed to align and stimulate the seven Chakras, which could possible unlock lost knowledge encoded within our DNA .it has been used in ancient initiation ceremonies, and walked by warriors before entered into battle, believed to bring psychological and spiritual growth and transformation, for restoring faith and heal troubled or stressed souls .

Some people are affected very much by just looking at them. Others feel nothing. but certainly everyone asks them selfs what are their purpose? why where they first thought of and created in this large scale around the world in ancient times? in known history the labyrinth has been around for at least 5,000 years

When I heard the story about the discovery of labyrinths made in ancient times by people on different continents, I wondered if pictures of the labyrinth had been taken from one continent to people on a different continent in ancient times. According to history however, people didn’t travel from one continent to the other in antiquity. A journey from the Indian subcontinent to the European continent may have been possible, but the journey across the ocean from the European to the South American continent seems highly improbable. So how is it that the labyrinth was created on different continents in one and the same shape thousands of years BCE and by people who had never been in contact with each other? (Photo:Atlantic Bronze Age labyrinth. Meis, Galicia, Spain)

Languages and their scripts and the accompanying symbols independently emerging on different continents are clearly connected with a people with common geographical and cultural borders. Each of these languages and scripts is therefore in principle completely different from the others and incomprehensible for the peoples on the other continents.

How can it be then, that independent from each other people on different continents created the same symbol of the labyrinth? And if the symbol was in fact transferred from one person to another, then what is the common element that fascinated people to such an extent that the symbol was spread across different continents?
