drextin wrote:Why is it that those who do fall on the skeptical side of things........well not skeptical lets say more demanding, why is it they are considered a clique but those on the other side of the argument who tend to group together are not?

Personally I'm finding that trying to be friends with anyone around here is a lost cause. If I agree with someone then cool, but nothing else. I like being the loner anyway my attempts at friendships was just to show I'm not here to cause trouble no matter what some think........now I don't really care.

Do I think gaz is trying to sell a book? Nah. Do I think he is smart enough to know that these circles are not made by aliens? Yes. Now what his motives are I have no idea, could be to draw attention to his blog.......which is nothing that really bothers me. I've had his blog bookmarked since I first saw his sig.

I do know this though..........gaz does not present evidence of crop circles being alien made with any real passion. You can take that however you'd like.

I've seen too much evidence proven crop circles to be what they are.........manmade.........I'm not really interested in debating it much anymore unless called out.............what really made me want to comment at this time is this fucking silly shit of posting videos to say what you are not capable of saying. Ok one vid might be fine..............but multiple posts with youtube vids is about as childish as it comes and says so much about the person/s who do it.

I almost went and looked for a video to explain my frustration for people who use videos as conversations, you know just for humors sake, but I realized how late it was and I didn't feel like being in the shower forever trying to scrub the icky stupidity from my pores. So you'll just have to take my word for it.

we're not a clique???? SO I let you, Low6, Hesop, and a few others BEAT THE CRAP OUT OF ME for absolutely nothin :o What about this DTV tattoo on my neck! :hell: :hell: :bang; :bang; :bang;

I agree with you right there... But this is going to seem like an attack...

Skepticism isn't proof. Belief is not disinfo.

There is nothing wrong with people posting photos of crop circles and trying to decipher the information hidden in them. Fact is, who ever does them, no matter what side of the fence you are on is quite clever. That is a fact. The information is vague, sometimes drawing on binary, geometry and such... and it is interesting and quite beautiful to behold. Even if it is made by humans, who are they, what do they represent? Why do they pick these subjects? Why are they so shy? Mysteries are still alive in well in this area.

So by knocking on the ideas of others you do come out sounding like the skeptics who say UFOs cannot be real because science disproves them outright. To my curious human eyes, it always looks as though it is people's curiosity and sense of wonder that is attacked. and that bothers me greatly.

I do not believe the burden of proof is solely on the side of the "believers". No way, it is also squarely on the side of the skeptic, because he or she cannot simply say "It must be this way because everyone knows that other way cannot be..." It is merely flip flopping the issue.

Fact #1...

We do not conclusively know everything there is to know about this subject.

Fact #2

We don't conclusively know everything there is to know about the nature of our world or this reality.

Fact#3

We do not conclusively know everything there is to know about each other's belief system, and for that matter, properly discern what is right or wrong given the above two facts.

This is merely a friendly warning...

Do not mistake skepticism with the need to feel right, because self righteousness is a heavy curse... And science, religion and all manner of "isms" have fallen prey to it.

Everyone knew the world was flat, remember?
It's a Clawspiracy...

I have REALLY enjoyed reading your stuff lately.
You have managed to be the bigger man, and not stooping to the level to which i and others have been finding ourselves. And you comin out with Tidy whities, and some extremely clean shoes...with a tasteful touch of gold..i dont mean Bling, i mean that one badass piece of gold..ya know? Looks killer on a slick smart young playa with a brain like yours..(ive always envied that)

I mean TRUE respect for you on just that point alone,
but then we have the clarity of your posts as well..youve taken apart some arguments with surgical skill here int he last few weeks, and i never got around to making note of it..

Damn glad to have 'met' you...
I would certainly think twice about callin you out for a battle of wits..and thats a fact..
