another school UFO drill. wtf?

this from my local 'paper today (middleton guardian dated thur 21 oct 2010). even my old school is getting in on the ufo experience. what is the deal with these exercises, which seem to be on the increase? i know for a fact this never happened when i was at school. why now? softening us up? the plot thickens... :think:

Sounds quite strange why all of a sudden they are holding alien invasion drills,I think this is very possibly a sign of things to come,and if it is then we should be worried,an alien invasion drill means they are expecting a threat.

I will have to keep my eyes open for more of this kind of thing.

Hmmm thinking on it though it could be a carefully crafted plan,make em prick up their ears via invasion drills then scare them into compliance with a fake UFO sighting....maybe thats what is in store?

Thanks for that. At the moment, I'm more inclined to believe it's the separate work of eccentric teachers, rather than some plan on a national level.
However, my radar is now tuned into the possibility that there is something amiss, but I'd need to see the frequency increase.

the local paper always hits the shops the day before it's cover date for some reason.
