Everyone pays taxes, even if you don't think you are. Even if you get back all the income tax that was taken away from you during the year, you are still paying tax on your cigarettes, the gas in your car, and in property tax (which is rolled into the amount you pay for rent, if you don't own your home). They "get" you with everything... When was the last time you looked at your phone bill or renewed your license plate? Don't you buy shoes, shampoo, and concert tickets?

There will always be a lower class. We do not live in a society where people trade in raw materials and basic foods. Instead, we have an entire society based on value-added goods; indeed, the entire planet functions on the circulation of value-added goods. Someone has to be on the bottom in order to start the circulation.

Generic there have been very few, very few successful runs at Socialism. Since socialism is a total nanny state it means total control. Might as well call it facism. Throughout history socialism has killed. Google Socialism kills and you will find many examples. Besides the Pilgrims tried socialism in the Americas and it failed.

I only see one other news story covered this in KC and names the guy that put it up. Also, this was clear back in October and I'm just now running onto it on the local news stations. Never made it outside the city limits...imagine that.

I don't know if William Cody has put another one up. I don't see it on the news. :rtft:

I guess that's what they call media lag. Making a statement in just a couple of sentences is really tough as the writer indicates that his issue is with the polices not the president. As a former resident of that area my self I vividly recall the past when certain part of Kansas City was named in a very racist fashion. Times do change! I notice lots of Obama stickers are vanishing from cars here where I am now. The news said his rating hit a 21% approval rate today and that's pretty obvious as an indicator that people that supported him are disappointed and feeling let down. I wonder if the 'people's' voice will ever be heard?
