Fact is, Comet Elenin would virtually be vaporised by the time it reached our atmosphere considering its size.

Hmm then i want to know what size you thinking about. Because if i have to believe other sources, they are saying that elenin is approx. around 2.5 till 10 miles diameter. On other forums like godlikeproducations they talking even about bigger numbers (100 or 500++ km diameters) which i dont believe.

Lets say Elenins diameter is 5km and elenin is in collision course with earth, then we really have a verry big problem.

Tunguska was estimated around several tens of meters. Lets say Tunguska was 50 meters in diameter. Look what it did when it was this small. If you ever saw a documentary of Tunguska you know how devastating this little piece of asteroid/comet was.

So if Elenin is calculated in KM's/Miles long diameters, lol then we have a verry serious problem. Could mean the end of the world. And i am not kidding.

So far i see NASA CPL, this comet/asteroid is nowhere close in collision course with us (yet).
