Tyranny? Tyranny?

You havn't even experienced Tyranny. I know what Tyranny is, and the U.S is nothing compared to other countries out there.

Iran

1...In Iran, they can't even make a film or movie without the governments permission.
2...Homosexuals are hung.
3. Anyone who speaks against the government on the streets is shot.

Africa

1. Tribal Wars
2. People with guns find innocent people who speak up, and shoot them on the spot.

Zimbarbwe

1. If you are in the opposition, or speak against the government you are jailed, or shot, or even executed.
2. Lots of wars in the streets.
3. High corruption, high inflation.
4. The president has been in power longer than any of us have been alive.

China

1. Internet Censorship
2. Media Censorship
3. People are shot in the streets for speaking against the government.
4. Anyone that is a known opposer of the government faces torture.
5. Lack of freedom.

Afghanistan

1. Wrecked by war
2. High Corruption
3. Ruled by the Taliban in some places
4. Women must clothe themselves fully in publc, if they are seen without clothes they are the be tortured or shot.
5. WAR

America

1. Has a government - Known to be corrupt
2. People are allowed to vote, they have a 2 party preferred system. If you are in the opposition you aren't ridiculed for it, and are allowed to speak up.
3. Anti Government documentaries and short films. - The government does nothing about them. They just let people make them. They don't shoot anyone who are against them.
4. Health care system
5. Taxes
6. People are only just getting by, with still a fair few poor people in the streets.
6. Strong sense of community, and pledge allegiance to the flag.
6. FREEDOM.

When was the last time the we had to goto a government to make a short film, and ask them for permission to actually make it?

The day that comes, then we are facing Tyranny.

You havn't even lived in a country where you could die every die, or be hung at any time, or hide from the police or government, and face constant war.

America is HEAVEN compared to other countries.

You guy's know jack shit!!!!

Kindly climb down off of your high horse of pretentious suffering bud. You rant on and on from thread to thread like you are the only person with any insight into these things.

6. FREEDOM.

seriously? i'm "canadian" and i know there is no freedom in america. nor is there freedom anywhere.
sure the governments might let the public get away with certain activities, leading you to believe you are free, but they have everything by the balls.
cant drive a car unless its insured? i guess you really dont own that car then.
cant afford to pay your bills cause you dont get paid enough to survive?
guess you have to live in the dark cause they dont really care unless they profit, in which they still dont even care, but who cares, right? its freedom.

i fully understand that there are several places around the planet where the "laws" are just right fucked, but that, right now, is beyond my control. i want the change, but we all have to want it.
the problem is, you see, that people have been so brainwashed into believing that countries and borders exist, we no longer think of us as humans on earth.
instead we get the chinese in china, or the mexicans in mexico. and so on.
fuck singling each other out, all forms of government are flawed and not in the interests of the people. its always masked by some even more stupid idea and we all fall for it.
planet earth is dealing with tyranny, cause we are all in this together, and thats how we have to look at it or we will never even come close to tasting the profound sweetness of freedom.

on another note, to the OP, thanks for the info about certain things going on in different places around earth. i was aware of some of them, but some of them not.

in the long run, take back out lives and out of our victory we can finally say we have our freedom. cheers

Having read several of whiteknight2000's posts, I have the idea that he's an American Boy-Scout, I really don't know why, I just do.

I was a Girl-Guide as a young girl, and his rhetoric, seems very similar to what I use to exclaim - until I grew up and realised there was more to life than singing songs, waving flags and believing people always tell the truth!

No offence intended whiteknight2000 - just an observation and my thoughts.
