'Rising floodwaters have prompted mass evacuations in the state of Queensland in northern Australia, with some regions declared to be in a 'natural disaster zone'.
Authorities on Sunday urged the residents of St George, a town of 3,800 people in Queensland, to leave their homes as time is running out to shore up a levee. "Significant rises upstream indicate possible above-record levels by midday Monday with further rises possible," officials said in an emergency alert to the town.'

Yeah.. I think so.. particularly up north where I am. but further up too.. There's also been some bad flash flooding in victoria in recent years.. Then bushfires too which have always been an issue. And then there's bad drought too.. Sounds bad hey..
