Here is a brief list of hypocritical processes employed by the banking industry... Clench your butcheecks, this may get painful....
You in debt ? Here have a loan to help you pay off your debt. (hypocritical 101)
Still in debt ? How about consolidating your loans, excess, and charges into a more manageable monthly sum ? Oh, you are already on a payment plan. I can also see you have no surplus. Maybe we should not have pressed so hard on your payment scheme. However, you are now fucked we are freezing your accounts. Oh I see all of your accounts are with the same branch, they will all be merged to cover debt. I am afraid it does not cover it all however. So your house is going to have to be repossessed too. Oooooo you have a joint account. They are liable too, and so to is anyone linked to them and so on and so forth.
(increases debt and time frames for those not meeting any of the criteria in the first place and the amounts of people pulled in is potentially exponential)
Gives the ultimate power to staff. (with account control) - (Direct account control) including numerical markers giving the user the ability to literally create or transfer billions at the touch of a button, which in effect could kill a bank and its clients accounts instantly, as cause and effect is unstoppable even if transfers are reversible) This is only applicable at higher levels of account control, big accounts. Should a mentally unstable person get access to these kinds of controls (well that would be bad for everyone)
Rude to staff on the phone while in debt or excess of as little as a penny or cent ?. Sorry you were rude, no deal. You go to recoveries (hint, there is no recovery from recoveries) You are done with the bank for life. If the debt is significant, potentially everything you own is forfeit including that of anyone else connected to your accounts.
EXAMPLE:
My business has been affected by the recession ?
Why ?
Well its the recession.
Not good enough. Why ?
Had a major loan which should not really have been issued on my income! (banks fault)
Not good enough, you should not have accepted or stated your position correctly. Why did you accept ?
I was advised to do so!
We do not advise.
I needed the money to support my failing business.
Yes but why ?
Overheads, wages, funding gaps.
Sorry not good enough. I can see you have zero surplus.
Fuck you help me, my kids are starving and we have not eaten properly in weeks.
Do not swear at me Sir.
FUCK YOU. You fucking caused this.
I am terminating this call because of the abuse.
What ?
Someone will contact you by letter in the next week, failing that you will receive a call if demands are not met through the relevant department.
What does that mean ?
You are now bankrupt and your business is gone. Sorry
I see all your accounts are connected to this bank. They are all frozen. Including that of your wife and every account connected to hers and so on and so forth.
Oh Christ! Why ?
Joint accounts.
WTF ? What happens now ?
You need to re-bank and set up utilities and Direct Debits elsewhere. You are no longer accepted here.
IT WAS YOUR FUCKING FAULT.
No sir. Sorry. It is your fault for being in need and accepting a badly laid out payment plan without exacting income and expenditure.
Bye

Couple of things you need to know about banking systems.
1. Never, under any circumstances, have a joint account. (designed to reel in other parties to cover debt) - simple as that. Why people do this is beyond me. Little do they know. When they usually realize its to late.
2. If you ever make it to a collections stage in the banking world. You better be honest, and you better be detailed and polite. There is nothing they do not already know about you. It is all there. In great detail. Be polite and humble and ready to listen and face circumstance.
3. You reach recoveries. You better write off the next six years of your life. As that process will affect you in many surprising ways. It will also follow you for life in one way or another.
4. Bank at fault ? File a direct complaint to said bank before escalating your claim to other parties. No record of complaint on file ? Your word against the bank (hint - you will always lose) - It has to be logged.
Obvious, but do not spend more than you earn. Overdrafts are not there to use as a revenue stream. You go over enough times, if even by a penny or cent. Your branch manager will escalate you to collections. Collections will push a loan or payment plan. (increasing debt and profit for said bank) Stretching yourself even further. Miss the payment plan ? You go to recoveries (however that is a trick - you never recover)
This is all very simple to understand, however you would be shocked at how many people are ignorant to these facts. Especially at higher levels (businessmen, Professionals etc). Banks are a business, and the business is profit at all costs. You in debt ? They will do everything in their power to turn your debt into a profit via interest and third party hand overs. Failing that, they will leave a mark so deep it would take a lifetime to escape totally.
I have spent a life free of debt, of any kind. Follow suit and there would be no banks. Banks are debt and profit. (mainly debt, as every profit, is also someone else's debt) Add interest into that equation and what do you have ?
A black hole designed to syphon money out of the system into high level black accounts. (creating the class system) Rich - Poor. Technically immoral and illegal by the way.
In short banks are the problem, and the solution. Kill the banks, kill the problem. Interest is the problem in a nutshell. That is where all the big problems originate. Banks are needed in a monetary system, interest is certainly not.
I just thought I would put this out there should it actually help someone in the future, or if they were undergoing any processes similar to the described above.
RECAP
No joint accounts. EVER!!!
No use of overdraft. (unless absolutely necessary)
If in problems enough to warrant an agents intervention. Honesty and detail is the only thing that can save you.
Biggie, seek "free regulated" financial advice, CAB, CCCS, or equivalent. Seriously, plan your shit before the shit hits you. Its to late once it has.
If the bank is at fault, you damn well better log a complaint or you will have nowhere to go. Your word against a financial institutes is pretty unbalanced unless logged.
Lastly. Stay out of debt, live within your means. Or you will suffer, and greatly in the coming year.
Heed my words, those quantative easing measures put in place by flooding the monetary system with interest, have not yet affected the market. It has not even begun to show properly yet. However it will soon, and if you are heavily in debt when it does. Well... just don't be.
If that helps anyone out there, if only marginally, then this post was worth the time to write it.

The banking system is the scourge of society.
I have a had conflict with my bank just after the start of this recession.
They tried to change a business loan agreement I signed with them 5 years earlier, that had very low interest repayment. After the recession.
If I had not found the original contract they would of raped me.
Luckily I never throw paper work away. I made them eat my words.
And the bank manger is a lying piece of shit. Which I took great pleasure in telling him
