Banned FEMA Trailers Return for Latest Gulf Disaster

In the wake of Hurricane Katrina, they became a symbol of the government’s inept response to that disaster: the 120,000 or so trailers provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency to people who had lost their homes.

The trailers were discovered to have such high levels of formaldehyde that the government banned them from ever being used for long-term housing again.

Some of the trailers, though, are getting a second life amid the latest disaster here — as living quarters for workers involved with the cleanup of the oil spill.

They have been showing up in mobile-home parks, open fields and local boatyards as thousands of cleanup workers have scrambled to find housing.

Thats nuts!! Like those workers need another chemical to battle.
They work all day in and around methane, benzine and god knows what else, then they rest their head in a contaminated FEMA trailer.

Watch....when those workers start getting sick and dying, the government and BP will turn their backs on them just like they did to the 911 responders. :bullshit: :bullshit: :bullshit:
Take it easy...and if its easy...take it twice!!

Is there nothing these f&%$ers will stoop to? But then when have the 'overlords' given a s%*t about the workers? If someone can sue for falling over in a shop, why can't these poor sods? In fact every person who's livings been affected by BP's incompetance could have a case, keep the w*%£kers in court for years. Thanks for the info.

Recycled poison is what the trailers are but on the other hand all clean up personnel connected with the Exxon Valdez are dead and this appears to be Deja Vu over time.

Warning To Gulf Volunteers: Almost Every Cleanup Worker From The 1989 Exxon Valdez Disaster Is Now Dead

Are you sure that you want to help clean up the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico? In a previous article we documented a number of the health dangers from this oil spill that many scientists are warning us of, and now it has been reported on CNN that the vast majority of those who worked to clean up the 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill in Alaska are now dead. Yes, you read that correctly. Almost all of them are dead.

In fact, the expert that CNN had on said that the life expectancy for those who worked to clean up the Exxon Valdez oil spill is only about 51 years. Considering the fact that the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico is now many times worse than the Exxon Valdez disaster, are you sure you want to volunteer to be on a cleanup crew down there? After all, the American Dream is not to make big bucks for a few months helping BP clean up their mess and then drop dead 20 or 30 years early.

I dont know whats more depressing the spill itself or the blindness of our people. This whole thing is absolutely obvious, and people still don't see it. I've hemorrhaged friends on facebook due to me posting on this several times a day. I've known these people for years and they will delete me because I'm making them pay attention. Alot of people say its OUR fault because we buy it. I know I dont have a choice, and I sure as hell wasnt one of the people cutting corners or rubber stamping drilling permits. It pains me to think that we will never have enough people awake to change things.
