What would it take to fuck up a camera's ability to take an image, mirrors? Magnetic field?

In aust they have had speed cameras outside work areas for a while, they put htem up and then leave them there, so even if you go through a 2am, when no one is working they still fine you for exceeding the limit, even on freeways, the limit goes from 110kmh (thats kilometres per hour for those of you not living in the 21st century metric age- I'm looking at you america), down to about 40, ever tried to go 40 on freeway at 2am with no traffic, the fines vary between $200 to $300 depending on how far over you are.
We have a speed camera up the road from us that rakes in $650 000 a year for the government, but as we are told, its about saving lives not making money.

That's the the one right there. The truth of all conspiracies, what lies beneath all the reptilian fantasies, bloodlines and all of it. plain human greed. It is what made us all spending machines, paying machines, lending machines, and credit slaves. Or just plain slaves.

The root is there in just that tiny sentence. Brilliant, cornbread.

Now my question, as always, is what are we to do about it?
