From an article in the Vatican newspaper comes a statement from the Reverend Jose Gabriel Funes. This statement gives full approval for a Catholic to believe in aliens. Funes is the top astronomer at the Vatican, and he says that the great vastness of the universe certainly makes it possible that beings other than man may exist. This comes as no surprise, really, as other spokesmen for the Church have made similar statements before.

Damn ironic isn't it?

That was kinda my point, suggesting here......that it could easily seem the church had "hidden" knowledge of the empires in South America. It was very important for them to get there, and destroy as many records as they could, as they did elsewhere. It leaves one to wonder, how many ancient records have they wiped out, all over the face of the earth, that spoke of visitors not of this earth. As they were the first to arrive and conquer, it was they who wrote the accepted history, dispelling all as paganism and witchcraft.

I gotta say i find the way the old scripts were systematically destroyed allover the world, to be one of the worst crimes to historical knowledge ever, those damn conquistadors etc were a disgrace. Same with how the Vatican wont allow access to its libraries, when theyve books etc that no one has been allowed to study, if nothing else it makes it look as if there hiding something (and probably are in my opinion.)

slushpup, man you really disappointed me. Don't you know "dry" humor when you see it dude. This story was on rense.com a while back. I didn't see any need on rehashing what other people had already posted since I agree with them and you. Maybe your right, I'm just dumber than a box of rocks, but I bet that I've been a lot closer to the alien/ufo subect than you and most other folks out there.
