claims Australian expert
Crop circles are not the work of hoaxers and aerial photos of the Black Country can prove it, says Australian boffin.

AN Aussie historian believes he has buried forever the ‘cereal’ lie that crop circles are the work of hoaxers – by unearthing Black Country images of them dating back to 1945 and beyond.
It’s ‘barley’ believable, but Greg Jefferys has also uncovered evidence of the phenomenon in scientific documents dating back to 1880.
The boffin, from Hobart, Tasmania, says his findings prove there’s more to the mysterious circles than hoaxers playing silly tricks.
“This discovery proves that claims by various artists to be the sole creators of crop circles are themselves a hoax,” he says.
“It just goes to show that the circles remain unexplained.
“I hope this discovery will stimulate renewed interest in crop circles by serious scientific researchers who have been fooled by the hoax claims.”

Bump for Iwanci: You ask for photographic evidence of crop circles in fields before the use of heavy farm machinery and tram lines. Here it is, I suspect you have seen it, and chosen to ignore it. Is it simply more evidence that you cannot accept because it does not conform to your stubborn position that all CCs are man-made?

Question: What does the image, above, show in the middle of the top field?
It may show two crop circles. The image was taken in 1953, and shows a field next to the East Kennett Long Barrow in Wiltshire (not to be confused with the better-known West Kennett barrow).
There is a reason for asking the question: If it is true that crop circles have always been appearing - as we believe - then shouldn't it be possible to demonstrate the existence of old circles by examining old aerial photographs?
Pretty tenuous...eh? or maybe not....

Not tenuous at all.. i have heard stories admittedly third and fourth hand that these things have been in the fields long before Doug and Dave. These are great finds and only strengthen the position that the hoaxers were only copying what was already a little known phenomenon. The hoaxers are good, but cannot claim that they started it off.
