I live near Galveston:

Tar balls are as coomon as Seagulls and have been around since I was a kid
The water has always looked like sewage, even in florida (murky brown)
Florida's 'pretty side' is on the Atlantic
The reported spill estimates would the oil slick so big, it would cover gulf and affect atlantic
They can see an HPS grow light from space, but provide sketchy oil spill photos.

US said all rigs evacuated and used as fuel stops for rescue and response teams
BUT duriing ALEX, news stated 13 companies evacuated rigs for precautions

So, does ne one have photos or comments??
