If you live in or around the mid and eastern great lakes region, Canada included take notice of you local weather forcasts or just go to noaa hurricane.com or noaa weather radar.com Better yet use the site boon posted yesterday.http://hisz.hu/alertmap/
Do be aware that this is one of the deepest measured surface low pressures in about 70 years. I'll stay tuned for updated warnings for TO Canada east and south into Western NY, and Northwestern PA, will post for anything significant. Do take care.

I am in central wisconsin. Heavy winds up to 52mph bursts. The pressure was 28.82 this morning. Chicago cancelled 125 flights. My daughter is suppose to fly home from boston tonight. But wind warnings are up till 7pm tomorrow night.

I'm in Southwestern Manitoba and we are having 80+km/hr winds and a healthy dump of snow. We have a storm warning in effect. Raphael is in Toronto. They should get this dump of weather later today/tomorrow.

Current estimates put this current weather event at affecting 26 million residents so far. That's pretty much everyone east of NY state.

This could very well be one for the record books. There is a very pronounced bow echo preceeding the front, in the southeastern quadrant. Who wants to watch a Hurricane form over land?

I live in the suburbs west of Chicago and our tornado sirens were going off this morning. Peak gusts of about 55mph with the storms and unholy amounts of wind driven rain. I was outside watching it come in and it started raining, sideways.
