Britain To Put CCTV Cameras Inside Private Homes

£400 million ($668 million) will be spend on installing and monitoring CCTV cameras in the homes of private citizens. Why? To make sure the kids are doing their homework, going to bed early and eating their vegetables. The scheme has, astonishingly, already been running in 2,000 family homes. The government’s “children’s secretary” Ed Balls is behind the plan, which is aimed at problem, antisocial families. The idea is that, if a child has a more stable home life, he or she will be less likely to stray into crime and drugs.

It gets worse. The government is also maintaining a private army, incredibly not called “Thought Police”, which will “be sent round to carry out home checks,” according to the Sunday Express. And in a scheme which firmly cements the nation’s reputation as a “nanny state”, the kids and their families will be forced to sign “behavior contracts” which will “set out parents’ duties to ensure children behave and do their homework.”

The only problem would be that I assume they would put these cameras into homes of poor people, who would the rip them down and pawn them.(I know I would)
I hope the government likes getting good video of all the pawn shops in england.

Better yet, reposition the camera under the toilet seat, so every time you take a crap they cop an eyefull.

Why not, we already have CCTV cameras everywhere in the high streets and the work place and in my city loud speakers which can be used on unruly people when they get angered shopping. Big bro/boss is watching and chatting to you at a locality near you.

Where does this culture come from in the UK? How did we become the most watched nation in the world? This fascistic tendency has, I think, become the dominant mindset. The massive CCTV system we now have was introduced without merit after a huge media campaign convinced the public that it was in our interest to be monitored remotely by policemen and women. It was for our safety.

The Glasgow headquarters of the CCTV system is massive and it's right beside another modern police station which was built to house terrorists - even though we had never had terrorists in Scotland.

The gov are putting this story out to get a reaction.
I remember 6 months ago there was going to be a summer of riots, well that hasn't happened yet.
The gov are spoiling for a fight, they're looking for an excuse to implement their plans for control.
They are losing the information war at an unprecedented rate, thanks to the internet and sites like this one.
