Stupid.
Not getting any sympathy from me about this.

What get's me is that they actually picked up that stupid tweet, out of the millions that must be sent daily, they knew who he was, they knew when he would be landing in America, that's scarier than what he tweeted!

That is pretty weird. And creepy.
I couldn't tell you how they do it.
Gotta have a program that scans this stuff for "key words".

keyword loggers are used and no doubt as their travel destination was noted they were tracked
pity the world is losing its sense of humour ,also go's to prove to the world twitter and face book is monitored ,a whole department in GCHQ monitors the anti social sites
