However the subsequent appearance of two different "takes" of the same encounter has lead to it being widely discredited as a hoax

I tell you what, I first thought "gorilla"cause thats what it looked like or maybe a bear, but in the video he goes up to the plant its next to and that is about 5 feet high.
The beasty can clearly be seen to be squating on its haunches, that would make the animal absolutely HUGE.
