This is totally normal... It happens all the time as a result of the orbiting bodies that travel near the edge of the solar plane.

The size of a planet or asteroid is very small compared to the size of the star and the universe itself. And the distance to the next closest star can be great distances, so the attraction to its own star is much greater than the attraction to the distant stars, so its pulled back...

Seems highly illogical to me though. Huge solar winds, gamma burst pushing it away. Dunno, I can only speculate
