We could be totally self sufficient if needed, but trade makes the world go round. We as individuals cant stop the machine, so anything I say is moot. Let the big boys roll with this. I just enjoy paying taxes :yell:

Realistic or under a severe Stockholm Syndrome. Aren't we all?. There's place for debate there.

Let's put it another way. Would you have voted for Chavez?.

Only if he promised free cohibas and rum... :P

Seriously though...the question of Chavez would have to be put into context of "If I were Cuban, would he be good for the nation?"

As I am Canadian I would have to ask "Is he good for Canada to trade with?"

Canada has strong trading relations with Cuba including a huge tourism industry...yes thats right...the rumours are true...
IT'S FREEKING COLD UP HERE!!!!

One talks a lot but wont implicate his point of view in a 100 years and the other (slith) is either too cautious or too afraid to speak.

You're driving me crazy here, Canucks.

Btw, Castro is the Cuban one. Chavez is from Venezuela.
