Cell phones and your head

After decades of use, billions of phones and users, I wonder how many millions of man-years of usage, we still have conflicting scientific studies about any health effects such as brain cancers. Some say dangerous, others harmless. Because of the sheer scale of this, it beggars belief that it hasn't been definitively settled. If this is still up in the air, what reliance can you place in any study of environmental hazards, about anything ? Does the finding depend on who funded it ?
