It would depend on the stability of the household and how secure the kids are. If the kids were insecure of if there was other abuse in the house, then yeah, this is just cruel.

However, once kids get to a certain age, they are able to take a little teasing and be stronger for it. I know in my house, we play and tease all the time and it's allowed so long as it isn't aimed at someone personally or it doesn't play off anyone's insecurities or presses their buttons.

Then again, I call mine "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" so that should give you a clue of what the atmosphere is like lol.

I undestand and agree with what your saying. My brother has five great kids and what you describe rings true in his house. I just don't like to see kids being used as cannon fodder, even in the advancement of 'Child Development.'

Btw, some of these kids are horribly rude, spoiled, and obnoxious.

That would get cleaned up REALLY fast in my house!

Obnoxious behaviour is no excuse, they're children. OK this was done for entertainment and humour (humor) but it's slightly frowned apon, this side of the 'puddle.'

:flop: You are right about some of those kids socks but I am sad to say that they are almost definitely a product of their parents.. I think fatbastard is aiming this at me because we both have a background in psychology.. Some of the kids in the video are too young to understand the concept of the joke being played as I am sure that parents have told the children afterwards that this was just a joke..I would hope so anyway.... In the case of the seemingly brattish kids I am sure that mummy and daddy provided them with a lonvely substitute present in order to preserve the peace afterwards..

This is worth a read

Are you kidding me? Those toddlers would be ok, but that kid at 2:45 is a symptom of bad parenting (spoiled rotten and disrespectful), and the one at the end who says that he can "suck my balls" would get an attitude adjustment.

I do applaud those who were able to at least communicate their disappointment, even if it was accompanied by throwing boxes etc. Those kids will be able to handle the bullshit that life throws them much better than some of the other brats in this video.

Mexican over fed ankle biter. Exactly my point. They are too young to grasp the idea that, 'it's just a grown up joke, for grown ups. Even if they are rewarded after, it shouldn't be played out on children. If you want a laugh (Shardenfroider) use adults with an understanding of, humeruos humility.

I am laughing so hard tears are rolling down my face. :alien51:

The kids are obviously spoiled, that is the parents fault. I refuse to be a Christmas Zombie any more years ago,so my kids got nothing from me again this year, except what they needed, a bible study with video on the real meaning of Christmas.
