The Sunburns are just as bad if not worse, because they are smaller, faster, mobile, and have a wilder last minute evasion maneuver that is also impervious to the Phalanx...(basically a wall of lead fired at incoming missiles)

The U.S. Carriers aren't by themselves out there.... they are with a huge Task-Force multiple ships that flank them... 1 to 100 miles away, Cruisers, Destroyers, Missile Boats, all of these boats have there own defense systems and some are just for the protection of the Carriers. In my opinion if a Carrier ever takes a hit.... it will be from underneath the water.
