The word MEDICAID said it all for me.

Really sad.

I had a neighbor, a young man, late teens who had been medicated since he was 4. He told me how awful and intense it felt, that he would bite holes in his lip while on the meds.

It seems a variety of meds were used until the time he "dropped out" and at the time I knew him it seems he had found his own way to continue this way of life through self medication.

He really was bitter about the outcome in his mind from being on something his entire life and while he was treated with medicine behavioral therapy or other means of adjustment were not used in his situation.

He had been fostered off and on and was currently with his biological mom, it was not a working situation.

I suppose such kids make good soldiers............
